Staying in the 'bolt on' rooms of the castle was quite unique, named after various royals of Portugal, offering a comfortable experience, but missing the full castle immersion. It felt a bit pricey for what was received, yet still cozy and pleasant.

My stay at the Pousada Castelo de Obidos was quite pleasant. The hotel offers good value for the price, with very presentable but slightly small rooms. The location within the Castle walls is superb, providing breathtaking views in the morning but can be noisy due to the restaurant above. The dining experience was good with a large buffet selection, although the food quality was a bit inconsistent.
